Supplying to Nemtek Gold

To become a preferred Supplier (including Contractor) with Nemtek Gold, the Supplier must align with Nemtek Gold’s Core Values, comply with Nemtek Gold’s social standards, and relevant laws and regulations. This includes compliance with:

  • Nemtek Gold’s Policies
  • Nemtek Gold’s Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Nemtek Gold’s Standard Terms and Conditions
  • Nemtek Gold’s unrelenting focus on ensuring zero modern slavery within its business operations (including the full extent of its supply chain) – refer to the Company’s 2023 Modern Slavery Statement
  • Code of Practice – Working Hours (2006)
  • Minimum wages legislation within all jurisdictions in which the business operates
  • An unequivocal focus on ensuring acceptable living conditions
  • Acting responsibly in effectively managing the environmental impacts of their business operations within the community in which the business operates.

Completion of Nemtek Gold’s pre-qualification and assessment screening is required by all new Suppliers which at a minimum includes compliance with Nemtek Gold’s insurance requirements.

When relevant, Nemtek Gold requires all preferred Suppliers to have adequate Environment, Social (including Health Safety and Wellbeing, People & Culture) and Governance (ESG) Programmes.

Nemtek Gold’s ESG requirements for Suppliers includes:

  • Pre-screening of preferred Suppliers for ESG performance and risks
  • Compliance with ESG guidelines specified in agreements, and industry standards and norms
  • Objectives or targets regarding ESG performance
  • Monitoring of ESG performance
  • Reporting on ESG performance

Supplier reviews are conducted to ensure suppliers are complying with the Supplier Code of Conduct. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for the oversight of the commercial function which includes the Company’s supply chain and suppliers.

Nemtek Gold have partnered with a global vendor utilising their structured intelligence software to conduct checks on a selection of suppliers the Company may consider to be high risk. The software provides a risk assessment report on the supplier covering aspects such as Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering, organised crime, sanctions, bribery, corruption, major ESG incidents, and known people infractions. Supplier assessments also consider country-specific, sector-specific and/or commodity-specific risks.

Nemtek Gold recognises that its activities should create business opportunities in its host communities and prioritises those Suppliers who use a locally sourced workforce, products, or services in their business. Nemtek Gold also prioritise Suppliers who have Aboriginal ownership or who demonstrate affirmative action to increase Aboriginal employment in their business, respect the heritage, cultural values, traditions, and beliefs of Aboriginal people.

Nemtek Gold is committed to conducting its business in a fair and ethical manner, promoting a corporate culture that is socially and environmentally responsible. This is achieved by living the Nemtek Gold values, upholding our Supplier Code of Conduct, and working with suppliers who share this commitment.

We recognise that when we contract with third parties, they become an extension of our business. We therefore expect suppliers to uphold and comply with our Values and Supplier Code of Conduct, and all applicable laws, rules and regulations.

Nemtek Gold opposes all forms of slavery in its operations and the operations of our suppliers.

We are committed to identifying, assessing and mitigating human rights impacts, providing access to remedy through effective grievance mechanisms, and ensuring continuous improvement to strengthen our actions. We work in collaboration with our suppliers to eradicate modern slavery from our supply chain.

The SAQ is designed to support the identification of modern slavery risks, foster collaborative efforts between suppliers and organisations to address those risks, improve supply chain transparency, and identify areas for further due diligence.

Purchases

Suppliers are issued a purchase order to authorise the provision of goods and services, at a stated specification, quantity and price. Purchase orders apply the relevant standard Terms and Conditions, unless expressly stated on the purchase order.
